Unicon Highlights Open Source Choices at EDUCAUSE 2009

Three Sessions to be Broadcast Live from the EDUCAUSE Exhibit Hall

Phoenix, AZ – November 1, 2009
— Unicon, Inc., a leading IT consulting services provider, specializing in open source for the education market, will be presenting briefings on choices in open source software.  Presented in a unique side-by-side approach, Unicon will highlight open source solutions that include enterprise portals, learning management systems, and identity management.  Presentations will be delivered in Unicon’s booth #475 on Wednesday, November 4th and Thursday, November 5th at the EDUCAUSE Conference 2009 in the Colorado Convention Center. 

A number of presentations on Thursday, November 5th will be available as webinars using Elluminate Live!® .  Live broadcasts via the internet include: Open Source Enterprise Portals and Open Source Identity Management Systems, which will discuss open source choices available to the education market. A special briefing on “IMS Standards: Impacting Teaching and Learning Through Standards” will be presented by guest speaker Dr. Charles Severance.
